Today it came to my attention that I am not safe here at LGC&R. You see, I found my glasses on the floor where they could be stepped on and denying me clear vision until they could be replaced. My myopia is severe, my astigmatism is fairly mild in contrast, but being visually impaired in any case is a disability. So on Monday I will be lodging a complaint with management while seeking redress with Senior Services in the County And I do need a replacement for my charging cable for my phone. In addition, once I have my own apartment I'll be in the market for a cat. A repaired knee. an apartment, and the most expensive of all; a cat
I've got posting to do, so... Infinite adventures is my rewrite of Dangerous Journeys by Gary Gygax, for this version we start by adopting what Gary preferred as the name for the system, Infinite Adventures. Infinite Adventures is a system for roleplaying guides; a guide that is for running adventures for two or more parties, one a guide and the others players, in an imaginary world. In as much as you can't actually balance it in play, and that it's just too complex, it is not a game. At the moment I' looking redoing the current 3 guides for IA; Changeling, Mythus, and Unhallowed. Next post I will start with the basic mechanics for Infinite Adventures; with, for this system, will start with determining race.
Been cogitating some and I think I have some ideas on how to explain Dangerous Journeys and Gary Gygax. Now since DJ is a product of GG it has occured to me that I first need to explain Gary. E(arnest) Gary Gygax was a genius when you get right down to it; an intelligent man and a wise one. To keep this simple, over the years he grew to understand what roleplaying "games" were all about, and really they had nothing to do with games; they had more to do with guides. That's how I see it, and I believe Gary would agree with me. I've got more thinking to do, and instead of referring to the Mental, Physical, and Spiritual Traits try thinking of the Traits as Body, Mind, and Soul.
